Shoe Review: Men's Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3

     Rafael Nadal's 2012 shoe of choice, the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 is here. I had the previous years model, the 3.3's, and they are seriously the most durable shoe Nike, or any other manufacturer that I know of, makes. I'm going to get this out in the beginning of the review because this could be a serious off putter for some, but these shoes cost $130, which is outrageous. These are the most expensive shoes I have ever got, but if you're willing to spend the money, these are seriously the best shoes I've ever worn. 

     One of my biggest problems of the previous models was the long break-in period. It took me 3 matches that were about 3 hours each to make them feel comfortable like a shoe should, and not cause me pain. When I got the 4.3's a couple of days ago, I opened them up and, although not instantly comfortable, they were manageable. After the first hour of playing in them though, they felt like they were molded for my feet.  

     Sliding on hard courts was very accessible with these shoes, but they better be if they are going to be worn by world number two Raphael Nadal. They provided more comfort than the previous model and were in general just a very great shoe. My only complaint with the 4.3's is that the toe box in the front of the shoe is a little wider than usual. This coupled with the shoes running a full half size big caused some pain in my toes from them smashing against the front repeatedly on hard stops. But besides that, this shoe is a must buy for someone looking for a sturdy, comfortable shoe and doesn't mind paying for it.
